Heights is committed to the education and development of the children in our community. We offer programs that serve children ranging in age from infant to teen. We have developmentally appropriate material for our children to flourish and learn how to become Christians in today’s society. Our church is dedicated to the safety and well-being of each child and teen. You will find a warm and inviting atmosphere for you and your family here at Heights First Church of the Nazarene!
Children & Youth Policy
Heights First Church takes seriously its responsibility to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and youth who participate in our ministries. We have developed a policy that describes the obligations of church employees and volunteers who work with children and/or youth. A time for fun, music and games, but ending with a time to discover how the Bible directs our lives in handling all kinds of subjects from materialsm to witnessing, and from family issues to spiritual growth.

Sonseekers
Sonseekers is the Elementary Ministries program for children Kindergarten through 5th grade. Sunday School begins at 9:30am with a combined opening of singing and greeting friends. After the opening, children break into age-appropriate classes taught by outstanding and dedicated teachers.
During the Morning Worship service, Children’s Church is available for children K-5. They are involved in various activities such as music, bell choir, Bible lessons and hands-on activities.
Sunday night and Wednesday night classes are also provided. Everyone is welcome to join us for fun in the Son.
Vacation Bible School
Our Big Jungle Adventure VBS was a tremendous success! We thank the Lord for hard workers and wonderful children! We had 86 children come through the doors of our church to learn about the saving work of Jesus Christ! The children raised over $150 to help sponsor a little girl named Nissrine in the country of Lebanon, giving her the chance to get a Christian education in a predominantly Muslim country. We gave out more than 60 backpacks and bags with school supplies for the upcoming school year and we gave out nearly 50 Jesus Films videos for children. To top it all off we rejoice that two children put their hope and trust into Christ Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins, as Jesus became Savior of their lives!
We thank the families for allowing us to minister to their children! We thank all the workers for investing their time and energy in eternal work! We thank all those who gave of their income, investing in the lives of children! We primarily thank the Lord for a great week! The Lord is good all the time!
