Our History The Albuquerque First Church of the Nazarene was founded in 1919 after a tent meeting at the corner of 7th and Central. The original First Church gave birth to several new churches in order to minister to Albuquerque's ever-growing population. With each bold step, the congregation prepared the foundation for the opportunities of ministry we enjoy today.

In 1987, the congregations at First Church and Montgomery Heights united in a vision of ministering to Albuquerque’s rapidly growing Northeast Heights. Heights First Church of the Nazarene (HFC) was born!

With great faith, members of HFC began building at the corner of Barstow and Paseo del Norte with a vision of a campus atmosphere that would be inviting to the surrounding community. That vision of Christian worship and community outreach captures the spirit and heartbeat of the HFC family still today.

Staff
